Following on from an epic double header in August, Richter City continues their Home Season with Round 2, a showdown between Comic Slams and Brutal Pageant.

Coming up on Saturday 2nd September, at Kilbirnie Recreation Centre, Richter City Roller Derby (RCRD) will be hosting Round 2 of their Home Season.

Be there to cheer on the blue & silver super heroines of Comic Slams as they take on the disgraced beauty queens of Brutal Pageant.

Comic Slams faced off in the 2016 Grand Finals against Smash Malice and took a respectable 2nd place, how will they fare against Brutal Pageant this month? Will they prove they deserve to take the title this year? Will the beauty queens take another win and the Season Crowns? All three home teams in the 2017 Home Season for Richter City have skaters from the All Stars and Convicts squads, along with some fresh new faces with a whole bunch of talent.

Get your signs ready and your team colours on! Any Wellington based Roller Derby fan will tell you home season is not to be missed.

Garage Project Bar (alcohol will not be served to minors) and a variety of other awesome local food options, including Antojitos Taco Truck, will be available. There will also be RCRD exclusive merchandise available and a stall featuring goods from one of RCRD’s sponsors, Thunderpants.

Friends of Richter City, Wellington Free Ambulance will be present, for those just-in-case moments, but in the hopes they’re not needed and can just enjoy the event. To ensure the safety of our fans, the first 3 rows of the up-close, track side ‘suicide seating’, which is right next to the track is restricted to aged 18+ only, but there is plenty of other seating, including tiered seating.

Doors open at 6pm, first whistle at 7pm. Exit and re-entry available.
